Yoga Wednesday Nights

In 2023-24, yoga classes are being held at the Gooderham Community Centre every Wednesday evening from 7:00pm to 8:00pm. The cost is $40.00 for 4 weeks or you can pay a drop in fee of  $15.00 per class. Please visit gooderhamyoga.ca for more information and updates.

 

Community Euchre Tuesday Nights

In 2024 from January 9 to March 26, the Gooderham Community Action Group invites everyone to come and play euchre at the Gooderham Community centre from 7:00- 9:00 pm. There is a $2 admission charge to cover expenses.  For further information, send an email to GCAG503@gmail.com.

Take a dip at public beaches including Gooderham Lake and Glamour Lake in Gooderham where water quality is tested regularly.

 

Canoe/Kayak Routes

Boating/Fishing

Experience nature at its best on local multi-use trails including the IBO Rail and Homesteader Trails.

 

ATVing

Explore the terrific trails around Gooderham and Highlands East. You can obtain an online pass and more information from the Haliburton ATV Association at https://www.haliburtonatv.com/

 

Tennis and Pickleball

You’ll find tennis and pickleball courts right in Gooderham at the Robert McCausland Community Centre southwest of the fire hall. All courts are free to use anytime and are open days and nights from spring to fall. Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in North America and three new courts have been installed in Gooderham. Snowmobiling

Paudash Trail Blazers Snowmobile Club has over 300 km of amazing trails extending from Gooderham to near Bancroft and from just north of Apsley to the south end of Algonquin Park. You can obtain a trail permit, find out about events and everything else you need to plan your trip at their website.

Ice Fishing

Many surrounding lakes are stocked with an array of great fish. Check Zone 15 at the Ministry of Natural Resource’s by googling Fish online Ontario.

Mineral Hunting

Highlands East is the first municipality to secure public mineral hunting collecting sites. You’ll find specimens including gem green apatite, deep purple fluorite, mica, tremolite, zircon, titanite, feldspar and others. Gooderham Sun Village

This original sculpture at Gooderham’s Robert McCausland Community Centre was created by John Leonard and is made of genuine artifacts including the saw and water turbine used 100 years ago in the original Hunter’s Sawmill. The mill was subsequently moved nearby and is still in operation today.

Gooderham Century Gun Club

Calling all duck hunters & shotgun enthusiasts, the Gooderham Century Gun Club is open for new membership.

Come practice shooting your 12 or 20 gauge at our one field trap range. Season runs April through October and we typically shoot every other weekend. Located just east of Gooderham.
