Country music star Genevieve Fisher is set to headline this year’s Gooderham Music Festival on Saturday, July 27, which will also feature local bands Gary and the Rough Ideas and Ragged Company. A new open mic session for Haliburton artists will kick off the day to make the most of emerging talent in the area.
Organized by the Gooderham Community Action Group, this free event will take place outdoors at the Robert McCausland Community Centre at the corner of Country Roads 503 and 507 in Gooderham.
The Group is pleased to announce that Canoe FM is the media sponsor for the event. The Festival has also received grants from the Haliburton County Development Corporation and the Municipality of Highlands East.
Genevieve Fisher has earned seven female artist of the year nominations at the Country Music Association of Ontario music awards as well as numerous nominations for Single of the Year and Songwriter of the year.
