Gooderham United Church will celebrate its 117th Anniversary on Sunday, August 14, 2011.
It began as a Methodist Church in 1894, later to become part of the Tory Hill Pastoral Charge of the United Church of Canada.
It has played an important role in the lives of many local families as evident in the historic roll and records of baptisms, marriages and funerals.
In bustling days it provided a meeting place where many gathered for worship and fellowship.
Presently, in addition to weekly Sunday services, Family Music Nights will take place on Friday, June 10th and Friday, December 9th at 7pm.
Fundraising occurs in the form of Yard Sales that are held on Victoria Day weekend and Labour Day weekend, as well as Bake and Craft sales at Easter and Christmas.
